Howdy Folks-
A client sent me this email the other day:
"when you google "msn" or "ricky kalmon" there are a few other links
(video, store, etc.) that come up under the main link
basically gives you more page space
how do i get those?"
I know nothing about search engine placement so hoping maybe someone here could give us a lead. Anyone?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Search Engine Placement
Wed, August 13, 2008 - 12:51 AMI THINK it's to do with the fact that thecontent you searched for can be found on another page within the same site.
Google mostly ranks on inbound links, meta data and page content. It would depend on all those whether or not it would put another page under the main site page
(Having said that I'm no SEO expert)

Re: Search Engine Placement
Wed, August 13, 2008 - 7:27 PMThey are called sitelinks on goggle, and are automated , my guess is they need a well structured site as well as your sitemap, but you have to show up on first place I think.
but here's from the horses mouth:

Yeah, like Keno said, these are called sitelinks. They are good. They are a sign that your site is:
1.) trusted by Google
2.) is the unquestionable #1 site for the search phrase that brings them up
Google awards these to sites when they have enough inbound links and connections from around the web. It is supposed to help searches
find exactly what they are looking for quickly on "major" destination sites.
You can manage these links by verifying the site with Google Webmaster Tools (www.google.com/webmaster) and then going inside the Webmaster tools console. You can request certain sitelinks be blocked or let out.
